A "Raymond Frolander is Innocent" Facebook page is already up and running.
18-year-old Raymond Frolander plead not guilty on Thursday to charges of sexual battery of a child under 12, The Associated Press reports. Frolander was arrested after the child’s father (who is not named to protect the identity of the alleged victim) claims to have walked in on the abuse. He then beat Frolander savagely before dialing 911. He is not charged with a crime at this time.
Now, at the request of the father, Daytona Beach courts have ordered Frolander to undergo HIV testing, The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports.
“I don’t know which diseases transfer,” the father said outside the Justice Center after Frolander’s hearing, according to the newspaper. “I went through the State Attorney’s Office to get it done.”
According to the father, the boy is doing well, set to enter sixth grade and already practicing with his youth football team. He’s apparently talking about the incident, which the father (who claims to be a victim of child sexual abuse himself) feels is a good thing.
“He wants other kids to know that it’s OK to talk about it, that there’s nothing to be ashamed of,” the father said.
Regarding Frolander, not everyone is convinced of his guilt. There’s apparently a “Raymond Frolander is Innocent” Facebook page, already.
