Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt will appear on-screen together once again

The married couple will be acting together for the first time in over nine years.

Angelina Jolie has revealed that she will be acting with her husband Brad Pitt in a movie again. The project itself is still in the early talking stages, but Jolie has confirmed that the married couple will be appearing together again on film. Rumors started popping up two weeks ago about the two doing a movie together, but nothing had been confirmed by the movie star until now. The two accomplished actors will be collaborating in a different style than their previous outing.

The last time the couple shared the screen was in 2005 with the highly successful summer action-comedy Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It went on to gross more than $180 million domestically and sparked the “Brangelina” relationship between Jolie and Pitt. Their new project will not be a sequel to Mr. and Mrs. Smith or anything in the same vein. Instead, it will be a more intimate film that is being written by the Oscar winning actress herself.

“’I really can’t say very much. It’s not a big movie and it’s not an action movie,”said Jolie to Extra, ‘It’s a very experimental, independent type film where we get to just be actors together and be really raw and open and try things.” Recently, there have been talks of Jolie retiring from acting to focus more on directing, but the star confirms that her new movie with Pitt will not be her last role on the big screen.

The 38-year-old mother of six will be seen next in Disney’s Maleficent which will include appearances of her children. Daughter Vivienne, 5, plays the role of the young princess in the movie while Pax, 10, and Zahara, 9, will have cameos. “It was fun to share, but it was also that I’m better when they’re there,” said Jolie, “My performance was a little more enhanced, ’cause if I think about making them laugh, I get a little crazier.”

The highly-anticipated Disney adventure film opens May 30.
