Husband of Las Vegas ‘road rage’ victim explains why story has changed

Erich Nowsch Jr. is facing charges of murder after a confrontation with Tammy Meyers, but his lawyer argues that he was acting in self-defense.

As the plot thickens in the case of an alleged road rage incident in Las Vegas that resulted in the death of a woman, the husband is speaking out on why the story has changed over time.

Initially, the case was blamed on simple road rage, but after details emerged that the victim knew the suspect, questions began to emerge on what exactly happened that fateful day. Robert Meyers, husband of Tammy Meyers, who was gunned down in the incident, said that the reason he didn’t know the story was because “it wasn’t explained to me,” he said according to an ABC News report.

He said that his son, who grabbed a gun and fired back at the assailant, didn’t tell all the details because he was “very hurt” and worried that his dad would blame him for his mom dying.

He said he was relying on information from his daughter, who had been getting driving lessons from her mom that day when the confrontation occurred. Meyers claimed that another suspect is still at large and got out of the vehicle to confront his wife, climbing onto the hood of the car and telling her that he was going to “kill you and your daughter,” or something to that effect, he said according to the report.

His wife sped away as “fast as she could,” Meyers said.

Police eventually arrested Erich Nowsch Jr., who was a passenger in the car and the one police believe pulled the trigger that ended Tammy Meyers’ life. However, his lawyer is arguing that his client acted in self-defense. Nowsch is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and illegal discharge of a gun.

The first court appearance was yesterday in Las Vegas. He made no comments and didn’t enter a plea. The district attorney did not rule out the death penalty for him during the hearing.
