Watson announced the news on her Facebook account Monday morning.

It never pays to stray from the world of magic. As Entertainment Weekly reports, actress Emma Watson, best known for her role as a magical Muggle in the Harry Potter movies, has been cast as Belle in Disney’s new live-action musical Beauty and the Beast film.

Watson announced the news on her Facebook account the morning of January 26. “I’m finally able to tell you that I will be playing Belle,” Watson wrote. “It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal…My six-year-old self is on the ceiling—heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it.”

EW has been following Disney’s plans for the live-action version for some time. In October, they spoke to the planned director, Dreamgirls’ Bill Condon. Condon promised the film would include the original songs from the 1991 score, composed and written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. Menken will also be composing new songs for the musical. “We’re all kind of excited to be bring that brilliant, amazing score and beautiful story into three dimensions,” Condon said.

Disney has not revealed if any of the original film’s plot will be changed for the live-adaptation. Evan Spiliotopoulos will write the script.

Another live-action adaptation of an original Disney films is coming in 2015. Kenneth Branagh’s version of Cinderella, starring Cate Blanchett, hits theatres this year. Disney also announced plans for an update of The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau.

Production for Beauty and the Beast will begin later this year. Casting for the role of the Beast has not yet been revealed.
