Lea Michele threw up while singing Let It Go

On Wednesday, Glee actress Lea Michele appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and talked about her singing Let It Go in the premiere of Glee.

There was a lot of pressure for her to not just be good, but extraordinary. It was not just because it was from Frozen, the highest grossing animated film of all time, but that she was singing her cover of the song after the world had already seen the amazing performances of Idina Menzel and Demi Lovato. Michele said she was tweeting Menzel to make sure it was okay for her to sing the song, “It’s her song. I mean at the end of the day, it might be in a movie, but that’s her song.”

Kimmel jokingly said, “I think of it as my song.” To which Michele replied, “Great! I mean that’s awesome!”

“I was super nervous. The day didn’t start off so well.” She recalled, ““I was singing, there was snow falling, I looked up, trying to make it magical and beautiful, and ended up choking on the snow and vomiting.”

“That happened to me once!” Kimmel said.

But that wasn’t even the worst part of it all.

“And they have it in slow-mo, on film,” she added, to which Kimmel replied, “Oh, that’s gonna be a great DVD Extra, isn’t it?”

The rest of the day went well. Some people brought their kids to set and they came up to her to say hi and extended their arms toward her as if she were Queen Elza in the flesh. She said, “I was like, ‘I am god right now. I am a Disney princess god!”
