Team pacquiao eager to make the mayweather vs. pacquiao fight happen–even if it means bypassing promoter bob arum

The Manny Pacquiao vs  Floyd Mayweather fight has been in anticipation for years, and finally, after Floyd’s interview where he disclosed that he does in fact want the fight to happen, it seems that boxing fans’ dream-bout might finally become a reality. Unfortunately, however, issues regarding famous boxing promoters Bob Arum and Michael Koncz have been complicating and disrupting this fight from happening.

In an article regarding the Pacquiao vs Mayweather bout from the Fight Hype, it reveals that Koncz and Arum have been preventing this fight from happening all along; This information stated in the Fight Hype report is said to be derived from one of representatives of Team Pacquiao.

The issue here is Pacquiao is under contract with promoter Bob Arum until 2016–a full year. Although it is not a fact that Arum is holding Pacquiao up from fighting Mayweather, the contract Pacquiao is under does link the two–especially when it comes to choosing and negotiating prospective bouts.

With this in mind, members from Team Pacquiao–along with the entirety of the boxing community–are tired of waiting, and are extremely impatient for the hold-ups that have been occurring; thus, members of Team Pacquiao are willing to talk to The Money Team (Team Mayweather) in order to negotiate and set-up the fight–even if it means doing this without consent or permission from promoters Koncz and Arum.

Pacquiao’s long-time lawyer Frankling “Jeng” Gacal has been instrumental in trying to get this fight to happen, and freeing the fight from the control of Arum and Koncz. Gacal has reached out to Fight Hype in order to settle down and have a meeting with Mayweather, because it is known that Fight Hype has ties with Mayweather. Also, Gacal has reached out to Alex Ariza, Pacquiao’s former strength and conditioning coach, who now has ties with Mayweather, in order to set up the meeting with Floyd.

Gacal believes that if this fight it too happen Arum has to let Pacquiao break his contract.
