When iPhone owners decide to call it quits and hop on the Android bandwagon, they will now have a tool to help make the transition a little easier.
Many iPhone owners who made the switch but kept the same number found that they were not receiving text messages from other iPhones. The phones with iOS software were not picking up on the software change in the new phone receiving the message, and many texts were being lost into a software black hole.
Not only was important information being lost in cyberspace and inconveniencing many new Android phone owners, but neith Apple nor any phone carriers were willing to provide the necessary assistance to retrieve lost text messages in “iMessage Purgatory.” Software experts claimed that the information was lost and many customers got the run around from Apple and their phone carrier with advice that included futile software updates and contacting a local Genius Bar.
The new tool will help new Android owners completely rid themselves of any connection to iMessage to they will receive all text messages as normal. Customers are reportedly not happy with this extra step and are criticizing Apple for their lack of forward sight and willingness to provide the necessary assistance in fixing the problem.
The rerouting device is available on Apple’s website and is free. The explanation is simple and Apple provides all the necessary instructions to complete the process.
Former iPhone owners are more and more pleased with their decision to switch platforms every day, especially with this significant mishap that has negatively influenced Apple’s image.
