Marco Rubio slams Hillary Clinton: ‘She’s a 20th century candidate’

Is Rubio right?

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hasn’t even announced her candidacy for the 2016 presidential race and she’s already being heavily criticized by the GOP.

To be fair, she’s widely expected to run and even hinted at doing so during a recent appearance on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R), a potential 2016 presidential candidate himself, doesn’t think Clinton appeals to American voters in the 21st century.

“I just think she’s a 20th century candidate,” Rubio told NPR during an interview with Morning Edition. “I think she does not offer an agenda for moving America forward in the 21st century, at least not up till now.”

As CNN points out, this isn’t the first time that that the Florida senator has slammed Clinton’s readiness to run for office.

“I think she’s going to be asked to account for her time as secretary of state and I don’t think it’s the sterling success people think it is. Quite frankly, much of the foreign policy failures we see in place today began when she ran the Department of State,” Rubio told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer in February.
