The mugshot guy’s wife is reportedly “furious” over her husband’s recent attention on news outlets and social media. Jeremy Meeks, a 30-year-old convicted felon, became a viral sensation this week when his mugshot was posted to Facebook by the Stockton Police Department. The photo immediately received a great deal of positive attention and was shared worldwide due to Meeks’ strikingly good looks.

According to The Associated Press, the photo has already received more 89,000 likes and 24,000 comments on Facebook as of Saturday. Comments focus primarily on Meek’s so-called dreamy eyes, high cheek bones and overall model-like appearance. While the world has become obsessed with this photo, there is one woman who is not pleased with the attention.

Meeks’ wife did not attend his recent arraignment on Friday and has been “upset” about the recent attention her husband’s mugshot has garnered. While Meeks sits in prison, she is horrified to know that people worldwide are only focusing on his good looks.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t see her at all in the cameras, because she’s upset,” friend Simone Johnson told a reporter with CBS13 in Sacramento. “She’s furious. Her man is in there and people are taking it as a joke, thinking it’s funny talking about his looks, saying all kinds of crazy things.”

News.com.au has reported that Meeks’ bail is currently set at $1,000,000. Officer Joseph Silva, a spokesman for the Stockton Police Department, was quoted as saying that Meeks is considered, “one of the most violent criminals in the Stockton area.”
