Party time? You might be able to rent O.J. Simpson's white Ford Bronco

A private collector reportedly paid $75,000 for the car.

It’s been 20 years since O.J. Simpson’s white Ford Bronco drove, albeit slowly, into the history books.

On Jun. 17, 1994, police cars followed the truck as people cheered and waved from overpasses and ramps during the bizarre chase, the Los Angeles Times reports. The media aired nonstop coverage of the event, gluing many Americans to their seats for several hours.

The car was actually driven by friend and former teammate Al Cowlings. O.J. Simpson, who was supposed to have turned himself in, hid in the back of the car.

Twenty years later, O.J. Simpson is in jail for a 2007 armed robbery, but his famous Ford Bronco continues to have a life of its own. According to a 2012 report from Vanity Fair, the vehicle may be able to be rented for parties.

The vehicle was purchased by Michael Pulwer for $75,000 after O.J. Simpson’s civil trial in 1997.

“It’s well taken care of. It’s not on the street,” Pulwer told the New York Daily News, noting that he receives approximately five to 10 requests a year from people or groups wishing to rent the car.
