Police arrested a man Friday afternoon after he stripped naked at the gates to the White House and tried to get by security.

He reportedly stripped all the way down to his socks at one of the security gates of the White House at about 3 p.m and tried to hop the fence of the White House after he was denied entry into the White House.

The incident led to a security lockdown of the White House grounds.

The man also carried two suspicious bags with him at the time of the incident. A Secret Service spokesman said the man was taken into custody and his bags were being screened.

“He did not make it over the fence,” said a U.S. Secret Service spokesman.

The unidentified man was pinned to the sidewalk by at least four Secret Service agents. He also assaulted an officer.

Reportedly, the man said that he had an appointment with President Obama. Simultaneously, he yelled and removed his boxers. Within seconds, he was tackled to the ground by the Security Service agents. They clothed him with a simple blanket and put him away into the back of a van.

President Barack Obama was not present at the White House at the time. He was traveling in Michigan for a speech and the signing of the farm bill.

The area around the White House was shut down and reporters were not allowed to leave through one of the gates because of the incident.

The man was later taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
