‘House of Cards’ star Robin Wright engaged to Ben Foster

This will be Foster's first marriage.

You don’t have to be the same age to fall in love. That’s at least what the recent engagement of “House of Cards” star Robin Wright and actor Ben Foster tells us. She’s 47 and he’s 33: that’s a 14-year age difference. Wright’s rep confirmed the news to People magazine.

E! News reports Wright and Foster attended Diane von Furstenberg’s “Journey of a Dress” party on Friday in Los Angeles, where the actress’ diamond ring caught the attention of photographers while she was taking pictures with her daughter Dylan Penn (with ex-husband Sean Penn).

According to People, the happy couple worked together in the 2011 film “Rampart.” Shortly thereafter, rumors started circulating that the two were dating.

The acting careers of both Wright and Foster are off to an excellent start in 2014. Wright will star opposite Kevin Spacey in the second season of the Netflix original series “House of Cards,” while Foster is set to play Lance Armstrong in an upcoming movie.

According to E! News, this will be Wright’s third marriage. She was previously hitched to Sean Penn for 13 years and Dane Witherspoon for 2 years. This, however, will be Foster’s first marriage.
