Miley Cyrus chooses fashion over fans

"This is the most clothes I've worn this year!" says Miley.

Miley Cyrus caps off her shocking year, wearing sequins and a real fur coat in New York’s Times Square on New Year’s Eve!

While the performance was relatively sedate for Miley, her costume choice has sparked a Twitter outrage, with one of her fans responding, “Her poor dogs, bet she’ll skin them next to make a pair of booty shorts.” @ChelseaCrouton

The clothing controversy began when the provocative star donned what appears to be a real fur coat at Jingle Ball 2013. Her bold decision to repeat the costume choice indicates that Miley has no intention of slowing down the Real Fur Brigade.

Miley, who is famous for adoring her five dogs (Floyd, Ziggy, Mary Jane, Penny Lane and Happy) seems unfazed by the outfit-related uproar.

“This is the most clothes I’ve worn this year,” she said to New Year’s Rockin’ Eve host, Ryan Seacrest.

“She may as well just go back to being half naked,” @littleskye123 wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Miley has taken it upon herself to speak out against one of the greatest “pit” falls of humanity: Racism Against Pit Bulls. Just one week ago, Miley posted a photo on Instagram featuring her pit bull Mary Jane and wrote: “People need 2 be educated on pits. They’re killed cause no one takes them. True racism in the dog world- by humans =(.”

Miley might need to get her animalistic ambitions in order. While Racism Against Pit Bulls seems to be a worthy cause, the attempted vegetarian has no qualms against wearing animals’ furs, despite the recent public backlash.

With over 450 million views of her smash hit “Wrecking Ball”, over 60 million Twitter followers and an estimated 22 million viewers on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, Miley has the power to sway a nation of Tweeters and make a lasting impression.  If she could get the word “twerk” added to the Oxford dictionary this year, there’s no telling what this girl can do!

While Miley Cyrus may have lost the title of Time Person of the Year to Pope Francis, E! News named 2013: The Year Of Miley!

We can only wait and see what kind of wrecking balls 2014 brings!
