Jonas Brothers scrap U.S. tour because of ‘deep rift;’ are they headed for splitsville?

Have you ever been to a Jonas Brothers concert?

The Jonas Brothers have scrapped their U.S. tour due to a “deep rift within their band,” PEOPLE reports.

“There is a deep rift within the band,” Jesse Derris, the band’s spokesperson, told PEOPLE. “There was a big a disagreement over their music direction.”

The band, which is comprised of Nick, Joe and Kevin, were forced to bag their 19-date tour, which was set to start on Friday.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the successful trio hasn’t been heard of much in the last several years. However, Kevin has been featured on E!’s “Married to Jonas” with his wife, Dani, who is currently expecting a child.

Perhaps Jonas Brother fans shouldn’t be too concerned. After all, most big-time boy bands break up after a run at the top: Backstreet Boys, N Sync and 98 degrees. If anything, fans of the trio can look forward to a short reunion concert at a MTV Video Music Awards show at some point in the future.

CNN notes that the Jonas Brothers first gained fame with the Disney Channel’s “Camp Rock” movie series. In 2007, they signed with Disney’s Hollywood Records label. The news site adds that despite cancelling their U.S. tour, the Jonas Brothers are likely to release additional songs from their upcoming fifth studio album. “Pom Poms” and “First Time” were released earlier this year.
