Sudeikis is engaged.

“Saturday Night Live” actor Jason Sudeikis is engaged to Olivia Wilde, People magazine has exclusively learned. “They are so excited,” a source close to the couple told the magazine. “And very, very happy.”

Sudeikis proposed to Wilde shortly after the holidays. The two have been dating since November 2011 and living together since last year. People notes that no date has been set for the wedding.

Wilde was previously married to Italian prince Tao Ruspoli. Up until March 2011, when Wilde filed for divorce, the two had been married for eight years. According to The Huffington Post, Wilde married Ruspoli in 2003 when she was just 18 years old.

“You don’t want to break up with someone, you don’t want to end a marriage, especially if you really like the person — you just know that something’s off so you try to change everything else,” she said on “The Conversation” in June 2012. “We basically built a new house and it was perfect — just a glorious house — and the day it was finished was the day I knew it wasn’t the house.”

Based on several comments she made last year, however, Wilde doesn’t feel the same sense of dread with Sudeikis that she did with her ex-husband.

Back in October 2012, Wilde told an audience at These Girls, a night of monologues hosted by Glamour, that she and Jason “have sex like Kenyan marathon runners.” Meeting Jason, she admitted, re-energized her sexual life.

“I felt like my vagina died,” she said. “Turned off. Lights out … And you can lie to your relatives at Christmas dinner and tell them everything on the home front is just peachy. But you cannot lie to your vagina.”

After letting her sexuality run rampant following the end of her first marriage, Wilde told the audience that she needed “a soft kind of lesbian relationship, just gentle kissing and scissoring.” Before she found this type of relationship, however, she met and fell “blissfully, hopefully, wildly in love” with Sudeikis.

In September 2012, SNL’s executive producer Lorne Michaels shot down rumors that Sudeikis was headed for greener pastures.

“Jason is in,” Michaels told The New York Times. “Right now the idea is that Jason will go through at least until January. He’s a fiercely loyal guy, both to the show and to me.”

Sudeikis’ impression of former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney was a hit with SNL viewers. The Times points out that SNL relied heavily upon Sudeikis to entertain viewers with his Romney impression during the seven shows between the interview with Michaels and election day.

Sudeikis’ acting success hasn’t been limited to his time on SNL. The actor has also lent his comedic talents to several big screen efforts, including the forthcoming “We’re the Millers” with Jennifer Aniston. “We’re the Millers” will hit theaters in August.

According to IMDb, Wilde is also working on several film projects, including “The Third Person” with Mila Kunis, Liam Neeson and James Franco.

Will Wilde’s second marriage be more successful than her first? Are Sudeikis and Wilde a good match? Sound off in the comments section.
