Saved by the Bell was a culture-defining TV show that aired in the early 1990s, and this actor was one of the stars ... and you may be surprised at who it is.
A Saved by the Bell cast member just got married in secret after tying the knot in Las Vegas. So who is it? It’s Lark Voorhies, aka Lisa Turtle from the sitcom which ran from 1989 to 1993.
Voorhies married music engineer boyfriend Jimmy Green on April 30 in a secret ceremony in Vegas, with photos from the wedding showing that it was a very casual affairs: Voorhies wore a floral sundress and a floppy hat, while the husband wore a checked shirt and jeans, according to a Metro.co.uk report.
It’s actually their second wedding ceremony. They’ve been together for a year, and initially met each other through Facebook. The first ceremony was a commitment ceremony on April 1, and this latest ceremony won’t even be the last: the plan to get their family and friends involved for a much bigger affair next year.
Unfortunately, all is not fine and dandy among the newlyweds. Green is considered a wanted man after he allegedly threatened to kill a shop owner in Tucson, Arizona, when he tried to return a mobile phone to the shop, and there is now a warrant out for Green’s arrest.
However, the report indicated that Voorhies is standing by her man, declaring through a publicist that the allegations are false and that Green is “trying to better his life and move on from it.”
Not much has been seen of Voorhies ever since Saved by the Bell ended. She didn’t even show up for a cast reunion on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in February. Dustin Diamond, aka “Screech,” also was a no-show, which is not surprising as he has been going through legal troubles himself.
