Drugs, surgery, and statutory rape: Should we be worried about Kylie Jenner?

Kylie Jenner started being considered a role model for style-obsessed teens ever since she first appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians seven years ago, but after the 17-year-old posted a Snapchat video on Thursday in which she appears to say “I’m high as f—,” Jenner’s fans and even her family are expressing their disappointment in the young reality star. Sources told People Friday that some members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan are starting to be concerned by Kylie’s recent behavior and the effect it may have on her 22.7 million Instagram and 9.12 million Twitter followers.

Several fans and critics are attributing Kylie’s recent scandalous behavior to her relationship with 25-year-old rapper Tyga, with whom she has been romantically linked since last September, mere weeks after his breakup with Blac Chyna. Tyga initially denied his connection with Jenner after critics pointed out that they met at her sister Kendall’s Sweet 16 when Kylie was only 14, but the pair confirmed their relationship on Instagram a month later. Amber Rose, an ex-girlfriend of Kanye West and one of Chyna’s close friends, started a widely publicized feud with the Kardashian-Jenner family by stating on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club that “Tyga should be ashamed of himself … He has a beautiful woman and a baby and left that for a 16-year-old who just turned 17.”

“Please don’t worry about my sister who has a career and her s— together at ONLY 17,” wrote Khloe Kardashian, quickly coming to her sister’s defense.

Kylie managed to stay out of the drama and focus on starting her own line of clip-in hair extensions, acting as ambassador for British-based skincare brand Nip + Fab, and modeling for DuJour, Teen Vogue and Love, but when insecurities inspired her to get lip injections, she yet again became the subject of controversy. Jenner’s new pout inspired her followers to try out the “Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge,” and suck on a shot glass or glass bottle until the blood vessels in their lips burst. Jenner tried putting a stop to the challenge by writing on Twitter that she’s “not here to try & encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look.”

“I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment with your look,” she added.

“It is a little intimidating to look good all the time,” she later admitted to People. “I change my look all the time.”

Since the lip injections, Jenner has made her newfound love of her appearance well-known online, and has posted several scandalous selfies on Snapchats to go along with the bikini selfies that she frequently posts on Instagram. Jenner also recently announced her plans to move into her own $2.7 million, 4,900-sq.-ft. mansion in Calabasas, California “the second” she turns 18, causing Kim and Khloé Kardashian to warn her about trying to grow up too fast.

“Kim and Khloé have made me aware that it’s a little tough to own a home,” Kylie said on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. “I really hope I’m not in over my head.”

While many fans speculate that she said the words “I’m high as f—” in her latest controversial Snapchat, others claim it’s too difficult to actually make out what she is saying. Jenner and her family have not yet commented on the rumors surrounding the video.
