People Magazine was one of the first to announce that Brooklyn Decker and tennis pro Andy Roddick will be welcoming their first child in the fall.
Her rep confirmed with People exclusively, saying, “I am happy to confirm Brooklyn and Andy are expecting a new addition to their family in the autumn of this year.”
The model turned actress, 28, plays a mom on the upcoming Netflix show Grace and Frankie and Andy Roddick is one the greatest tennis stars of the last couple decades. The two should make a beautiful baby!
The couple announced the news themselves on Instagram Saturday evening. She wrote: “So this happened…#the3ofus.” She then showed a picture of her belly, as a proud mama-to-be. Decker and her retired tennis player husband, Roddick, 32, were married six years ago at their home in Texas, where they have two little babies already: bulldogs Billie Jean King and Bob Costas. Now, the couple of more than six years will be welcoming a human bundle of joy into their home.
Roddick will be throwing his annual Andy Roddick Foundation Gala on Monday, just in time to celebrate the coming of their baby boy or girl. Longtime friend Elton John will be performing at the gala. A dear friend, Elton John also performed at the couple’s wedding, several years earlier. Will he be a the baby’s christening? A Godfather perhaps?
Decker’s new show premieres on May 8, so this month certainly is shaping up to be an eventful time for the happy couple. Now, it’s time for them to carry on the good practices they’ve instilled in themselves for their young and adult lives.
The couple is sure to have some beautiful genes (and athletic ones) to pass along. Is there a model/pro tennis player in the works? Can the world handle another Anna Kournikova?
