Alyssa Milano recently ran into problems at Heathrow Airport because of her breast milk. The actress pumped her breast milk during flight, which was then confiscated upon landing in London. On top of it all, baggage claim lost her milk pump.
The 42-year-old actress announced her experience at the London airport through Twitter on Thursday. According to Milano, she was not allowed to leave the airport with the milk she pumped out of her during the flight.
The actress also blasted the fact that baggage claim coincidentally lost her breast pump. Milano said that everything she owned arrived except her hospital grade breast pump.
Heathrow Airport took away 10 ounces of Milano’s breast milk. Airport security told Milano that the milk could only be allowed to leave the airport if the baby was present.
Apparently, the baby was not with Alyssa Milano. She claims that she would not have to pump any milk out if the baby was with her. The actress was left fuming knowing that her baby was not with her and having the baby milk taken away.
Milano also argued that a mother with a baby is allowed to take more than 10 ounces of milk on board.
Milano also said in her Twitter account that the situation did not make sense since the milk was brought on board in her breasts. Milano said, “Another reason it makes no sense – when I got past security it was time to pump again so…I did carry 5 ounces of breast milk.”
