Why the new video is getting some attention.
Madonna has definitely been known to shock a crowd. With her new album release “Rebel Heart” and a brand new video just released for her song “Ghosttown,” Madonna is at it again.
According to Time, she and video co-star Terrence Howard explore an apocalyptic city in the video, where Howard is hunting down Madonna. If this sounds like it’s in the strain of the latest blockbusters and thrillers featuring apocalyptic settings, you might be right; however, the difference is that no matter what, Madonna aims to bring a vision unlike anything any of us have seen before.
From her latest album, Rebel Heart, hackers leaked several of Madonna’s unfinished songs in an act the singer referred to on Instagram as “artistic rape.” As a result, Madonna told Time in February: “I didn’t sleep for weeks. I didn’t see my kids. It was pandemonium, confusion, paranoia, hysteria.”
This is coming from a woman who takes her music very seriously, perhaps too seriously, if you’re asking any mothers out there.
Since then, the artist has taken extra precaution in releasing her music videos. She has already promoted the album extensively on Snapchat, Instagram and Grindr, according to Time. Madonna then decided to premier her “Ghosttown” video on the broadcasting app Meerkat. Now, fortunately for fans, Madonna has made the video available for viewing on YouTube, as well, as shared by Time.
Many people have been eagerly anticipating the singer’s latest contribution to the music scene. With the addition of Terrence Howard as a co-star, the video is sure to have an added level of excitement and surprise.
As Rolling Stone puts it: “Madonna survives a nuclear explosion in the clip for “Ghosttown.”” Meanwhile, Terrence Howard, star of Hustle & Flow, amongst other captivating films, is focusing an assault rifle on her. She then lives out as Rolling Stone puts it a “Last Man on Earth-type fantasy.”
Who better than to play the last man on Earth than Madonna?
