Many have been wondering what has happened to the Tanner family over the years, and it looks like fans may get to find out. The Full House rumors were true; the San Francisco-based series may be revived on Netflix.
TVLine reported that Netflix is considering a 13-episode order for the series Fuller House. The new series will focus on the adult adventures and situations of Cameron Bure, better known as D.J., and her best friend Kimmy Gibler, played by Andrea Barber, according to NY Daily News.
Some of the beloved Full House actors are expected to return for the series. D.J.’s two uncles Jesse and Joey, played by John Stamos and Dave Coulier, will most likely make guest appearances on the series. D.J.’s father, played by Bob Saget, will also be making a guest appearance if the series premieres.
If the project gets picked up by the video streaming service, creator Jeff Franklin and Full House alumni Robert Boyett and Thomas L. Miller will also return to produce the show.
Full House ran from 1987 to 1995 on ABC. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen began their acting careers on the show; however, it is unclear whether the twins will be involved in the rebooted series. Netflix has declined to comment on the new series.
This is not the first time Netflix has considered reviving a series. Netflix considered and went through with several series such as Inspector Gadget, 24 and The X-Files. In addition, the new Twin Peaks will begin shooting this year, according to Time Magazine.
Hundreds of reboots are coming and have come to TV. Mashable reported that NBC announced the return of Coach, a sitcom starring Craig T. Nelson that aired from 1989 to 1997. And Netflix was, of course, behind the reboot of Arrested Development in 2013 and is hoping to release another season, according to Mashable.
