Scott Disick has checked himself into a Costa Rican rehab center following a tequila-soaked weekend in Atlantic City,
The 32-year-old star of “Keeping up with the Kardashians”and father to Kourtney Kardashian’s three children has entered the Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Costa Rica.
In a statement released by the facility Disick explains, “I realized my issues are bigger than me and I’m ready to truly remedy this struggle as I continue to battle.”
To the surprise of no one, the New York Daily News has learned that Disick’s latest trip to treatment is actually another Kardashian-style endorsement deal.
“He is 100,000% getting paid (by the facility),” said an insider. “The rehab center even sent a press release about him.
“Why would they do that if he was not getting paid?” asked the source. “They have to adhere to strict confidentiality. He’s pulling down big dollars on this one. I heard mid-six figures.”
TMZ reports that Disick made the choice to seek help for his addiction issues after he spent the weekend slamming tequila shots at a club appearance, screaming profanities on stage, and was found at 8AM stumbling shoeless around the Harrah’s Atlantic City hotel lobby. Minders were dispatched to his room to do a wellness check when he was nowhere to be found at 5PM.
Disick has struggled with alcohol abuse in the past and has vowed to maintain his sobriety. Earlier this month, Kourtney Kardashian issued him a strict ultimatum, swearing that their relationship would be over for good if he didn’t stop the excessive partying.
Disick will undergo Iboga treatment, which incorporates roots from a small African tree into a detoxification program that supposedly helps people battle addiction.
The Rythmia Life Advancement Center facility is located on a private estate boasting a “luxurious world-class experience,” which includes a five-star restaurant, full-service spa with mud bath, and fitness center.
This is the second time that Disick has checked himself into this particular rehab facility, according to InTouch Weekly.
“Scott was here last month,” said Charles Johnston, director of addiction treatment at Rythmia to the magazine.
