Adam Levine handles young fan’s panic attack like a boss

The Voice star Adam Levine had an adorable meeting with a young fan with Down’s syndrome and kept him calm when he got a little overwhelmed at the prospect of meeting his idol.

Young Christopher Warner is a huge fan of the rock star; the boy’s special education teacher Avery Stanert created a video to share how much he loves Adam Levine and his music.

“He has just been fascinated with Maroon 5 and especially Adam Levine. He loves to listen to their music during work breaks,” Stanert shared with Today.com. “He draws pictures of them. He just absolutely loves them.”

Stanert’s video went viral and got the attention of The Kane Show on Hot 99.5, which arranged a meeting between Levine and Chris, arranging for tickets and backstage passes for Warner, his mom and some of his teachers to a Maroon 5 concert at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC.

When Chris met Levine backstage, he became nervous, crouching on the floor to hide. Without hesitation, Levine saved the day and made his young fan feel comfortable by suggesting that everyone lay down on the floor beside him.

“He was very shy at first. I kind of got down on the floor and he was hiding behind me,” Warner’s mom Cecilia told ABC News. “Then Adam said ‘That’s OK, we’ll all get down on the floor.’ It wasn’t beneath him to lay down on a locker room floor with Christopher.”

Kane also shared an adorable picture from the encounter on his Twitter page. “Christopher was so overwhelmed he had a panic attack so @adamlevine @maroon5 @internjohnradio laid down to take a pic,” he captioned.
