Rob Riggle’s career has skyrocketed over the past five years. It looks like all of his hard work has paid off, as he is set to lead the Fox single camera comedy pilot 48 Hours ‘Til Monday.
The show chronicles Charlie Bishop (Riggle), a husband and father of three, and his struggle not to let every weekend go completely to hell. Jane Curtain will be playing Charlie’s cigarette-smoking mother-in-law, Louise, who, along with her husband, lives in his house and displays her related attitude toward the child-rearing when forced to babysit.
The show will be written and executive produced by Charlie Grandy, who is already working with Fox on The Mindy Project.
Riggle currently has a recurring role on Modern Family and has appeared in movies like 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, and Let’s Be Cops.
Jane Curtain was an original cast member on Saturday Night Live. She returned to the Weekend Update desk for the SNL 40th anniversary special, and recently co-starred on CBS’ Unforgettable and recurred on TNT’s The Librarians. Curtain also was one of the stars of the popular show 3rd Rock From The Sun.
