The First Lady and 'Sesame Street' star participate in Billy Eichner's latest Funny or Die video.
Nearly a year after President Barack Obama agreed to participate in a hilarious “Between Two Ferns” interview with Zach Galifianakis on Funny or Die, his wife Michelle has made her own appearance on the Emmy-winning comedy video website. The “FLOTUS” joined Big Bird and fan-favorite contestant Elena in comedian Billy Eichner’s frantic game show “Billy On The Street,” and was forced to answer a variety of bizarre questions as she tried to promote her “Eat Brighter” campaign.
In the special D.C. Supermarket edition of “Billy On The Street,” Eichner’s guests competed in a game of “Ariana Grande Or Eating A Carrot?” While Elena technically earned more points during the game, Michelle Obama got to move on to the “Bonus FLOTUS Round,” where she was given a series of questions and physical challenges and offered a dollar for each correct response.
She incorrectly guessed that Eichner was more attracted to her husband than Abraham Lincoln, but quickly made up for her mistake by slow dancing with Big Bird as Eichner serenaded them with Aerosmith’s “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.” Eichner also convinced the First Lady to push him around in a shopping cart while he read Gwyneth Paltrow’s Oscar acceptance speech for Shakespeare in Love.
“This is my new Tinder photo,” the comedian captioned a picture of the hilarious moment on Twitter.
Obama and Big Bird’s appearance on the game show was arranged so they could promote her “Eat Brighter” healthy eating campaign. The campaign uses Sesame Street characters to encourage children to eat their fruits and vegetables, a concept which prompted Eichner to shout, “We’re bribing kids to eat fruit!” In a “Lightning Round” at the end of the video, the host and Big Bird took the classic “For A Dollar” challenge to the street and asked random people questions about eating healthy.
