Bruce Jenner criticized by transgender over publicizing his transition

Los Angeles based television reporter and transgender Zoey Tur has accused Bruce Jenner of trying to make money by publicizing his transition for all the world to see. Jenner recently revealed that he would be coming out with his own show to follow the season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which lead many to speculate that he would be revealing information about some of his recent life choices.

Tur spoke to TMZ about the topic.

“A lot of people are very suspicious about what’s going on because of his connection with the Kardashians, and they feel that if Bruce is transitioning gender, come out with it, you know – speak up,” she said.

She went to show her support in a different way however, saying that it would be important to have Bruce around as a role model in the transgender community. Certainly the transgender community is underrepresented in the media and Bruce could shed a lot of light on it.

As of yet Jenner himself has not specifically spoken out about this alleged transition that is taking place, but he is reported to have secured a deal with ABC to do a full open interview with Diane Sawyer. This might be getting pushed forward however, as it was originally scheduled for May but now is supposedly happening this weekend instead.

The change in timing might have something to do with the fact that other people seem to have been confirming the change anyway, so it is pretty much out in the open. Jenner’s own mother Esther reportedly has been making supportive comments about Bruce’s decision to transition.

“I just learned about [his transition]. Bruce filled me in, and we had a very long, long, long talk about it. I have never been more proud of Bruce for who he is, himself as a father, as an Olympian, a wonderful public speaker. He instills enthusiasm in people. He’s gifted,” she said.
