The former Pussycat Doll and X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly split from her longterm boyfriend race car driver Lewis Hamilton. Rumors are circulating the duo called it quits for good over Hamilton’s reluctance to wed. The couple had been dating on and off over the past seven years and have been having some disagreements about the direction of their future.

A friend of the two reportedly spoke to the publication The Sun about their mutual breakup.

“It really is over this time. Nicole has finally had enough. She knew Lewis had no plans to marry her. She’s completely gutted,” they said.

The 36 year old Scherzinger supposedly is ready to settle down and it sounds like 30 year old Hamilton was perhaps not. Or perhaps it is the stresses of a long distance relationship that has really got the best of the couple, as they commonly were as far apart as in different countries.

Scherzinger has been open about her past eight year battle with bulimia and will soon be releasing the therapeutic album Big Fat Lie which addresses some of her struggles. Scherzinger notes her low points within the struggle as passing out on tour and beginning to lose her voice. Nicole is healthy now, but calls herself a shy person with a playful outgoing stage persona.

“I’m in a different place in my life now. I feel a bit more confident and comfortable in my own skin to be able to talk about things that I hadn’t talked about before,” she said.

The singer seems to have felt good about opening up and exposing some of the facade that surrounds the life in the limelight.

“Everyone always has these pre-conceived notions that you’re glamorous, you don’t have any problems, you don’t have any issues, and we all battle with our own issues,” she said.
