Hill recently wrapped filming the independent crime drama, "Dixieland."
All eyes were on Faith Hill when she revealed her adorable short pixie cut on the red carpet of the 48th Annual Country Music Awards, held in the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday night.
The 47-year-old Hill looked stunning in a beaded black dress with sheer overlay designed by Naeem Khan walking the red carpet with husband Tim McGraw. Hill accessorized her dress with diamond jewelry, a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, and Christian Louboutin heels. McGraw complemented her bold look nicely in his all-black traditional tux with a black leather cowboy hat.
The couple was nominated for Single of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for their duet, “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s,” the second single from McGraw’s second studio album Sundown Heaven Town. It’s been a busy year for Hill: She also just wrapped filming the independent crime drama “Dixieland” that co-stars Chris Zylka and Riley Keough, according to Deadline.com.
It has been a long time since Hill has done something so drastic with her blonde locks. However, this is not the first time she has made a risky move on the red carpet: In 2013, she wore braces on her teeth to the American Academy of Country Music.
“I had braces as a kid. I forgot to wear my retainer,” she told local radio station KNIX. “Kids, wear your retainer!”
