A Secret service agent is indicted for sending lewd photos of himself to someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl.
A Secret Service agent was indicted on Wednesday by the United States Justice Department. The agent, Lee Moore, 37, was charged with transferring obscene materials to a minor. Moore has been accused of texting nude photos to a 14-year-old girl. Turns out the “14-year-old-girl” was actually a grown man and Delaware State Police officer.
The United States Justice Department announced that they were charging Moore with only one count of attempting to transfer obscene materials to a minor, according to USA Today. Moore was indicted by a Delaware grand jury for supposedly sending naked pictures of himself to the minor while he was working on staff at the White House.
Moore, while working his assignment at the White House, was arrested and charged on Nov. 9. He was residing in Church Hill, Maryland at the time. Allegedly, Moore had been using the applications known as “Kik” and “Meet 24.” Apparently, according to the allegations leveled by the Justice Department, Moore began chatting with and developing a relationship with someone who identified themselves as being a 14-year-old girl.
The Delaware State Police force has what they call a Child Predator Task Force. One of the officers assigned to this department went out and invented a profile of the girl on the Meet 24 app. Moore, it is alleged, talked with this “14-year-old girl” several times and then began sending naked photos of himself, including one shot of his penis. Moore also had a profile listed on the Meet 24 app.
The Department of Justice states that Moore had carried on these conversations at a time when he was officially on duty at the White House. The indictment alleges that Moore had contact with and chats with the undercover cop for as long as two months prior to him being arrested.
Moore has been detained in custody since his arrest.
