The Islamic State murders again and publishes a picture of the bomb they claim took down the Russian Metrojet over the Sinai desert that killed all 224 on board.
On Wednesday, the Islamic State published a photo of the bomb it claims it used to take down the Russian Metrojet recently which killed all 224 people on board. The photo was published in the Islamic State’s online magazine and showed a Gold soda can and a pair of other crude looking devices.
The Islamic State also released photos of purported passports that came from the some of the 224 dead. Most of the passengers on board the plane that went down in the Sinai desert were Russian, reports USA Today. On Tuesday, Russian intelligence declared that it was a bomb that took down the plane. They stated that they found traces of explosive in the plane’s crashed debris. The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has offered a $50 million reward for the capture of those responsible for the bombing of the plane.
Also published at the Islamic State’s online magazine were graphic photos of the bodies of two foreign nationals that have been executed. One was a citizen of China and the other was from Norway. No one currently knows why they were taken or how or if they have a connection to the attacks in Paris last Friday that left 129 dead.
Neither the Chinese of Norwegian government have confirmed the situation, reports Newsweek. In the article, the Islamic State gave out a Telegram number that could be reached if anyone wished to pay the ransom for the release of the two bodies. The Norwegian government said it had no interest in paying any ransom but it doesn’t rule out family members wanting to get the body back of a loved one.
The murdered Norwegian was known to be a supporter of Islamic fundamentalist groups and was 48 years old. His social media posts were generally in support of the Islamic State and of radical fundamentalist Islam. The Chinese national was described as about 50 years old and is listed as a consultant who live in the Chinese capital of Beijing.
