At least seven dead babies have been discovered in an apartment in Germany while yet another bombing happens in Baghdad. This time at the memorial service for a fallen soldier.
The bodies of seven dead babies were discovered on Friday morning in a house located in Bavaria, Germany. The gruesome discovery was made as emergency workers went to visit a home in Wallenfels in the German region of Bavaria. Police are holding for questioning a 45-year-old woman that used to live in the apartment, according to reports from Reuters.
The town of Wallenfels is located close to the border with the Czech Republic. Police were called when a woman said she saw a dead baby in the apartment. When the police arrived and checked around they found another six dead bodies. The woman they are holding for questioning may be the mother of the dead children. The police have said that they will hold a public news conference sometime on Friday.
Forensic investigators were also at the scene and said their report should be available sometime early in the next week. They did say, however, that the bodies of the dead babies were badly decomposed.

A bomb exploded in Baghdad on Friday morning at a memorial service. The explosion has killed at least 17 people and seriously wounding as many as 43. The memorial service was being held for a Shiite soldier who had been fighting against the Islamic State, according to US News and World Report.
The memorial service was being held in a close suburb of the Iraqi capital city and reports are that a man with a vest walked into the service and blew himself up. The slain Shiite soldier had been killed in battle fighting Islamic State forces in northern Iraq. While no one has claimed responsibility for the murders, it is being speculated that it was the Sunni Islamic State. For them, Shiite Muslims have gone astray of Islam and are apostates that must be wiped out.
The Islamic State controls as much as a third of Iraq, and much of Syria, and have declared themselves an independent state. It is believed that they were formed as a splinter group when their leaders disagreed with the direction that their parent group, al-Qaida, was taking.
The Islamic State makes almost daily incursions into Baghdad with bombings and killings as they seek to take control of the city. Hundreds have been killed since the Islamic State has waged war for control of Iraq.
