Forbes reveals that Katy Perry makes more money than Taylor Swift and actor Eddie Murphy is expecting the birth of his ninth child.
The never ending battle between the two most famous pop queens, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, seems to have Perry coming out on top in the earnings category. Taylor Swift, 25, seems to have garnered most of the glory in the past year but it looks as if Katy Kerry, 31, is the one generating more cash flow.
Forbes magazine released its figures for the top earners in the entertainment business on Thursday. According to Forbes, for the period of June 2014 to June 2015, Taylor Swift made $80 million. During that same period, however, Katy Perry raked in a total of $135 million, reports USA Today. Much of Perry’s earnings came from a world tour.
In addition to the world tour, Perry had a huge string of hit songs once again and has been chased by several major companies with whom she has signed endorsement deals. The two former friends and current reigning queens of pop music, seem far apart on many things. Perry has recently been quite vocal in her support of Hillary Clinton for president and has even appeared at a Clinton’s rally.
Forbes said that because Swift’s new album, 1989 is currently making about $4 million per city, Swift looks to be the early front runner for the top spot on next year’s list. The other top female earners for the year were Lady Gaga at $59 million and Beyoncé Knowles at $54.5 million.

Actor and comedian Eddie Murphy recently announced that he and his long-time girlfriend would soon be expecting a baby. This will be the ninth child for Murphy. Yes, Murphy is already a father of eight. Murphy, 58, and his current girlfriend Paige Butcher, 36, announced that they will be expecting a child come May, 2016, according to USA Today.
The two have been together for four years and this will be Paige’s first child and Murphy’s ninth child. Murphy’s current children range in age from 26 years old to eight years old. Murphy is also a recent winner of the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for comedy. He celebrated at a national gala for the prize with friends and fellow comedians Arsenio Hall, Kathy Griffin, Chris Rock, and George Lopez.
