In what may be noted as one of the greatest government disasters of all time, a highly erotic rendition of "Little Red Riding Hood" gets sent to the libraries at 283 elementary schools.
It may go down in history as one of the greatest government blunders in history. Apparently, the Ministry of Education in the nation of Chile distributed a rather pornographic rendition of the fabled children’s fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood to the school libraries at 283 elementary schools. The disaster only came to the knowledge of the government and the public when a young elementary school student opened a discussion of it with his parents.
The book is 65 pages long and is entitled Little Red Riding Hood Eats the Wolf according to Fox News. The book is a tome of six short stories all involving the wolf’s attempts to have sex with Red Riding Hood even after she had discouraged his many advances. One of the book’s stories also tells the highly erotic tale of a 13-year-old student and a school teacher being physically intimate.
Chile’s Ministry of Education was duly outraged and launched an investigation as to how an adult version of the Brothers Grimm 19th century classic got distributed to the nations elementary school libraries. The mayor of the city of Rio Bueno, where the book was uncovered, stated that the damage to the children has likely already been done and can’t be repaired. The mayor testified in front of a Ministry of Education committee saying that he didn’t think the graphic telling of a rape of a minor will help the children’s education in any way.
The Ministry of Education also noted in a public statement that “the book is not adequate teaching materials for the students.” The media, of course, tracked down the author. The author seemed surprised by the attention that both she and the book were getting. The author then went on to tell the gathered media that the book should be offered to young teenagers, 15 and 16, she said. The authors feels that children are ready at that age for such reading material.
One reporter noted than no one had even mentioned the graphic violence in the book. The reported noted that, perhaps, people had become so numb to violence that they didn’t even really notice it anymore.
