The GOP frontrunner has made some controversial comments about immigrants in the past, but he says he has good plan for how to deal with the issue.
Donald Trump outlined a plan Sunday on how he would deal with the country’s immigration issue.
A position paper that was published on Trump’s website covered three principles, the first that a nation that doesn’t have borders isn’t a nation, a campaign to build a wall along the southern border and have Mexico pay for it, and a pledge to create an immigration plan that would improve jobs for all Americans, according to a New York Times report.
Trump pledged that “we will not be taken advantage of anymore,” according to the plan.
Trump wants to strengthen the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office to crack down on illegal immigrants, and said he would pay for it by eliminating tax credit payments to illegal immigrants.
