A teacher accused of sexual relations with his students in a small Louisianna town plead not guilty on Wednesday morning. Keavin Keith, a 30-year-old teacher in Plaquemine, was indicted on five counts of felony carnal knowledge and 30 counts of prohibited sexual conduct between an instructor and a student.
According to a former student’s account, Keith had a sexual relationship with a female student as a teacher at Mathematics, Science and Arts Academy-West in Plaquemine. Since 2008, Keith has held a position at MSA-West.
Keith not only admitted to officials to having sex with three female students, but a DNA test also discovered that he had fathered a child with one of the alleged victims. Keith was slammed with a $100,000 bond, and a motions hearing is scheduled for Nov. 10.
