Sex worker killed murderer linked to other attacks across country

A man killed last week by a female West Virgina sex worker is potentially linked to a string of other disappearances stretching across the country according to an NBC News report.   Included are four prostitutes in the Las Vegas vicinity missing a decade ago and possibly six more women in Chillicothe, Ohio.

In Charleston, West Virginia, the victim, Neal Falls, 45, was killed July 18 in the apartment of an escort he’d hitched on Backpage, on online adult dating portal used to arrange cheap sex.

The woman, who decided to remain anonymous, told investigators that Falls brandished a gun and tried to strangle her. She apparently grabbed his gun when he released it to try and overpower when she shot in self-defense.

Police report they found disturbing evidence of a killer’s tool-kit including handcuffs, knives, axes, a sledgehammer, a bulletproof vest, another gun, shovels and bleach and accompanied cleaning supplies.

According to authorities, Falls initially lived in Henderson, Nevada a decade ago during the same time frame that three local prostitutes were found murdered and dismembered with one another unaccounted for. Investigators are coordinating with Charleston police to find a link.

Police in Chillicothe, Ohio told NBC station WKYC of Cleveland they were also cooperating to finalize the deaths of four woman and two others that are still missing. All were said to be young and drug-addled and were also suspected to have been prostitutes.
