The Wilks brothers have a $100 million family philanthropy group, The Thirteen Foundation, which has donated nearly $19 million according to tax filings, going to conservative and religious groups.

Younger brother Dan said in a statement, “We need a leader who will make sure America doesn’t end up a socialist nation” and “a leader that will stand up for biblical morals”.

The brothers owned their own masonry business and founded Frac Tech in 2002, selling out in 2011.

Reportedly Scott Walker, Wisconsin Governor,  and Mike Huckabee, former Arkansas Governor, have courted donations from Wilks.
