Next name on the ballot? Donald Trump.
Donald Trump, famous for creating an enormous real estate empire and being a major economic player in the U.S., has been flirting with the idea of running for president in next year’s upcoming election. He told 300 or so Granite Staters at New England College that he was “very much inclined” to run for president, according to WMUR 9, an abc company.
Trump bashed candidates from both parties alike, but paid close attention to recent controversies surrounding Hillary Clinton. He harped on the allegations of the connection between donations that were made to the Clinton Foundation and actions she took as secretary of state. Trump purported that she deleted emails to cover up this very bribery, and said, “This is criminal. What she did was terrible. She used her office to benefit herself and her family and everybody knows it.” He went on to say that if she were a Republican candidate, then there would already be an investigation. However, he didn’t stop at Clinton and went on to bash other Republicans saying that they probably aren’t investigating because most of them are in the same position and don’t want to be too tough.
Lizzy Smith, Democratic party spokeswoman, didn’t take Trump’s remarks seriously and said, “ From calling immigrants dreck to calling our leaders stupid, Donald Trump was his usual batty self and frankly, not very different from the rest of the GOP presidential candidates.” Trump says he is concerned about nuclear proliferation under our current governance, and says if he is president he will make the country rich again.
