Sherri Shepherd named legal mother of surrogate baby after heated lawsuit

What do you get when you mix a comedic actress, a surrogate, and a writer slash producer? That’s right! The hot mess express! The drama between Lamar Sally and Sherri Shepherd officially ended today as Shepherd was named the legal mother of eight-month-old boy Lamar Sally Jr. The baby was born by way of a surrogate mother. However, Shepherd’s DNA was not included in the mix. Lamar did, in fact, contribute his DNA, so the child is biologically related to the producer.

Sally and Shepherd’s ‘baby gate’ started shortly after they decided to file for divorce. She has expressed her discontent throughout the battle about co-parenting with Sally. Unfortunately for Shepherd, in the case of Lamar Sally Jr., you ARE the mother! Shepherd was not in court to hear the Judge’s order today in Pennsylvania, but Sally, who was present in court, stated, ‘It’s bittersweet…I’m glad it’s over, but I feel sad what it had to come to. Now I can go back to L.A. and tend to my son.’ While Sally was in route back to Los Angeles, Shepherd was posting on social media what a wonderful day she was having with her son Jeffrey at Corner Social NY in Harlem.

The legal representative for baby Sally Jr., Craig Bluestein, felt that justice was in fact served today (and figuratively, so was Shepherd)! Especially because this innocent baby was in need of protection. What a sad situation. Since when are innocent children disposable because a marriage went South? Not today Shepherd. Not today.
