Five adults found dead after shootout in a Phoenix home

Police report five people have been found dead inside a Phoenix home following a stand-off with police.

According to the report, the bodies found, three adult men and two adult women, were victims of a shooting within the house. Officers believe that the shooter is among the victims recovered, according to The American Register.

A call from within the North Phoenix house to 911 was placed during what police are calling a family dispute. Sgt. Trent Crump of the Phoenix police also confirmed that a SWAT team was called for assistance after the call was received.

“Our dispatcher could hear shots fired in the background while that call was coming in,” Crump said. “A caller had been able to escape the home at that point, get out and start to give us information,” he added.

Apparently, the woman who made the 911 call from within the house, was able to escape the home with her two children during the dispute.

Although the names of the victims have not yet been released, the report was able to reveal that the bodies found were three brothers, their mother and a spouse of one of the brothers.

The police arrived on the scene first around 2 p.m. Witnesses standing by said they were able to hear gunshots for nearly an hour after their arrival.

The SWAT team arrived just at the aftermath of the shooting. First, a robot probe was sent into the home to survey the surroundings, followed by the police officers with their dogs. The police were finally able to enter the home, but only after the shooting had ceased. This is when they discovered the bodies of the five adults inside the home.

Officers have said this is an ongoing investigation. The names of the victims have yet to be released, but officers have confirmed that they are not looking for a any suspects at this time.
