Guillermo del Toro resumes work on ‘The Haunted Mansion’ reboot after five-year silence

As the development of the film “The Haunted Mansion” is still underway, Guillermo del Toro is working towards bringing in an additional treat for single women across America to the Disney film. According to sources, America’s sweetheart and Oscar-nominated star Ryan Gosling is in talks with del Toro to star in the upcoming movie.

It was approximately five years ago when del Toro broadcasted his project at the Comic-Con Convention (2010) where guests received the first memorabilia for the movie, a poster. Since then we haven’t heard many updates on the progress of the film until now. It appears that the director was carefully searching for a writer than can fortify the screenplay that he co-wrote with Matthew Robbins.

Director del Toro and Gosling have formed a friendship ever since they joined forces last month when moderating a panel together and discussing the making of the movie “Lost River.” The dynamic duo was photographed together during Oscar weekend where they rode the Haunted Mansion ride and Space Mountain, among other attractions. It is no secret that del Toro is infatuated with all things supernatural and parks or that he directs excellent films. Collaborating with Gosling is starting to sound like a promising venture.

The news of this partnership came at a perfect time as Ryan Gosling is also making headlines for his directorial debut of the movie “Lost River” which is hitting theaters this weekend.
