Senior Supervisor of the Secret Service tried to force himself on one of his female employees after a party.
A senior supervisor of the Secret Service has been accused of sexually assaulting a female employee. Upon returning to the agency headquarters after a late night party, the man made unwanted sexual advances and grabbed the woman when she resisted. The two scuffled briefly before the woman got away, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the incident
Xavier Morales, 48, has GS-15 rank and considered to be a top agent. He was the woman’s boss. He has now been placed on indefinite administrative leave and has been prohibited from entering the Service’s offices. His badge and gun were also taken away.
“The Secret Service is an agency that demands that our employees conduct themselves with the highest level of integrity,” said Secret Service Director Joseph Clancy in a statement. “These allegations as reported are very disturbing. Any threats or violence that endangers our employees in the workplace is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”
Due to Morales high rank, the matter had to be referred to the Department of Homeland Security. The Inspector General of the DHS then referred the case to D.C. police because of the criminal nature of the allegations.
Morales, who has been married for many years to a high ranking special agent, had recently received a new assignment to be the head of the Secret Service’s Louisville field office. The promotion is considered to be a steppingstone in an agent’s career and the party had been in his honor.
