Police say a bus and a white Dodge Charge slammed into each other near the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Linden Avenue in Bloomington at about 6:50 p.m. local time, according to a Los Angeles Times report.
One of the people in the accident was killed and four others had minor injuries.

An Inland Valley Daily Bulletin report indicated that a 26-year-old man from Fontana had been trapped inside the sedan with major injuries, requiring the use of the Jaws of Life, which took about 10 minutes to extract him. He was taken to Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Fontana where he was pronounced dead, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities say he was the lone occupant of the car. The other four who were injured were among 17 inside the bus when the crash happened, and they suffered minor injuries.
The area remained closed hours after the crash as the police continued their investigation.
The Fontana Fire Department also assisted in rescue efforts.
