Whether or not astrology is an accurate predictor of all personality traits, it certainly seems to be pretty consistent when it comes to criminal behavior. More specifically, criminals born under the sign Cancer have a history of making big news with their bad behavior. (Anyone born between June 21st and July 22nd is considered a Cancer according to the Western zodiac calendar.)

Some notable Cancer criminals have included Amanda Knox, Jodi Arias, OJ Simpson, Ariel Castro, Lizzie Bordon, the Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, and most recently the accused Bill Cosby.

Many Cancer criminals have some interesting things in common, including the likelihood that their crimes are carried out within their own homes as opposed to public places, and the likelihood that they will not admit to the crimes they are being accused of.

From the brief list of criminals above, Amanda Knox was convicted of murdering her roommate at home, OJ Simpson allegedly killed his wife in front of their home, Lizzie Bordon attacked her parents at home, Jodi Arias murdered her boyfriend at his home, Ariel Castro kept women in his basement, and Bill Cosby is accused of sexually assaulting a variety of women many in his own homes and apartments.

Interestingly cancers are considered the biggest homebodies of all the zodiac signs, and it might follow that they are the most likely to feel defensive within their home. Strangely these Cancer criminals also tended to resist confessing to the crimes that they were accused of, if they did at all. Cancer criminals that make the news also tend to have a following of supporters in comparison to some other noteworthy criminals in the news.

In 1927 Aleister Crowley had some thoughts to share about Cancers and what it meant to be a water sign in The General Principles of Astrology.

“With regard to the active type of Cancer we shall not forget that it is water . . .the corrosive element, as the sea which eats away the great cliffs . . .the subtlety and persistence of their criticism which has produced such immense results on the trend of the thought of the world . . .”

Not all Cancers are criminals however, and in fact the sign has bred some of the most sensitive people of the zodiac. In addition to being considered moody and crabby folk, Cancers are also thought to be loyal, caring, and dependable. Some beloved Cancer celebrities include the likes of Tom Hanks, Liv Tyler, Selena Gomez, Will Ferrel, and the late Princess Diana.
