Liv Tyler has given birth to her second child, and in the grand tradition of celebrity baby names, he gets a moniker slightly off the beaten path.

Sailor Gene Gardner was born on February 11, and is already Instagram-savvy. The actress shared a photo with her boyfriend Dave Gardner of the tot clutching a sailor pendant.

The Instagram posts were shared a day after Tyler and Gardner were snapped together in New York’s West Village for the first time since Sailor’s arrival. Tyler also appeared to be flashing a diamond sparkler on her left ring finger.

Sailor made his appearance six weeks early, surprising everyone including his grandfather, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler. Tyler wrote in a Facebook post that when he heard the news of Liv’s early labor, he was on the first plane to New York.

“After crying like a baby myself, I immediately dropped everything and went to the airport to get on the next available flight,” he wrote. “When I landed I kept calling my daughter Mia who was already helping Liv and she kept giving me minute by minute updates, [saying] “HURRY THE BABY IS COMING!”

Sailor has two big brothers – seven-year-old Gray, from Gardner’s relationship with British actress Davinia Taylor, and 10-year-old Milo, from Tyler’s first marriage to musician Royston Langdon.

The youngest addition to the Tyler-Gardner clan appears to be doing well, with a representative for the couple telling People: “He’s healthy and everyone is happy,”

Excited dad Dave wasted no time posting his own photo of the little one.

“Our little one has arrived,” the photo was captioned. “Beautiful baby boy… Happy Valentine’s Day @misslivalittle.”
