The chief technology officer for Jeb Bush’s “Right to Rise PAC” has resigned after making “regrettable and insensitive comments” online a few years ago where he mocked “sluts” and homosexuals.

Ethan Czahor submitted his resignation on Tuesday, which the Right to Rise PAC accepted, according to a spokeswoman for Bush, who is considered a favorite to win the GOP nomination for a 2016 White House bid, according to the Washington Times.

Czahor has apologized for his remarks, which “do not reflect the views of Gov. Bush,” and it is best for him to step aside, said the spokeswoman.

Czahor came to the public’s attention when reports surfaced that he was trying to scrub old tweets from his profile that linked to his blog, which is no longer in operation. However, some people were able to capture screenshots of the tweets.

One tweet: “”New study confirms old belief: College female art majors are sluts, science majors are also sluts, but uglier…”

Another: “Most people don’t know that “Halloween” is German for “night when girls with low self-esteem dress like sluts.”

A third: “And, “I know Lindsay Lohan’s supposed to die soon, but I’d sure like to sleep with her before she does.”

Various outlets also reported on tweets that disparaged homosexuals, and other commentary that some have construed as racist: for example, thaning Martin Luther King Jr. for not wearing baggy pants and talking like a rapper while on a radio program.

At one point, Czahor aruged that the black parents need to “get their sh** together, as the majority of newborn black babies belong to single-parent households.”

Czahor tweeted on Monday that he deleted old jokes he made “years ago that I no longer find funny or appropriate,” according to the Times.
