Cyrus hopes her time as face of Viva Glam campaign will help us see "a cure for HIV-AIDS in our lifetime."
Miley Cyrus has spent the past few years actively raising money for AIDS research, and now the 22-year-old singer is selling custom lipstick to help the MAC AIDS Fund. Cyrus has been named the new face of MAC cosmetic’s Viva Glam campaign, and all proceeds from her sales will go towards supporting people affected by HIV and AIDS.
Cyrus joins the ranks of Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj as the new face of the Viva Glam campaign, and the former Hannah Montana star hopes that lending her support will encourage fans to try the MAC cosmetics products.
“I would go in my room and mix different paints with glitter. I wanted it to feel like a disco ball was crushed into hot pink liquid lava with a futuristic and cyber yet retro kind of vibe, I was really obsessed with the color,” Cyurs said of her hot pink lipstick creations, which she believes you can wear with nothing but a little shimmer on your skin. “It was important to have something that could go mature or young and fun, because the spectrum of who is going to wear it is totally broad.”
