Trouble seems to follow the star everywhere, including Instagram.
In a world filled with digital alterations, it shouldn’t come as a surprise when celebrities are caught red-handed “fixing” their own images. The latest celeb to be called to the carpet is Lindsay Lohan, after a provocative Instagram photo she posted seemed to make her stomach look unnaturally thin. According to Mirror, perhaps the more incriminating evidence in the picture are the leaning and stretched (a tell-tale sign of a failed Photoshop) toiletries in the mirror.
Captioning the photo with ‘#mycalvins are helping me fight off my chikungunya ?? hehe.’, Lohan made every effort to draw the attention to her tiny waist and barely-there underwear. Unfortunately for Lindsay, her 2.6 million fans were crying foul, some imploring to LiLo she doesn’t need to use Photoshop. Others were more snarky, sarcastically comparing her Photoshop skills to her singing and acting skills.
The Mean Girls star has been on emotional roller coaster lately, with many run-ins with the police and subsequent court appearances. She is now sick with a rare illness, Chikungunya, which she acquired from a mosquito bite on a recent luxurious vacation at Alohilani on the French Polynesian island of Bora Bora. TMZ reported Lohan planned to use the illness as the reason for why she neglected to complete her court-mandated 240 hours of community service.
Lohan isn’t the first celebrity to cause a social media uproar over Photoshop evidence. As reported by DailyMail.com, Beyonce Knowles, Tara Reid, and John Mayer have all had pictures put under the microscope and accused of photoshopping images of themselves.
