Next year the highly anticipated film X-Men: Apocalypse will feature some new faces to play the younger versions of Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm. Director Bryan Singer just announced via Twitter who those new faces will be.
The most famous actor among the three is Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark in the first five seasons of the popular show Game of Thrones. Turner will play the younger version of the telepathic Jean Grey, who was originally played by Famke Janssen.
Younger Cyclops will be played by teen actor Tye Sheridan, who starred in The Tree of Life and Joe. He will have a fun time locking lips with Sophie Turner.
X-Men: Apocalypse will also reintroduce Storm, who has the ability to control weather. She was previously played by Halle Berry. Newcomer Alexandra Shipp will replace her in that role. Shipp is best known for her appearance in House of Anubis.
Whether or not they will be the central part of the movie, or they will only be in flashbacks, no one knows yet. Fans of the franchise can only hope that the creative minds behind the project make the right decision.
