What a great month for Zooey Deschanel! The New Girl star Zooey Deschanel and her producer boyfriend Jacob Pechenik are engaged a week after they announced they are expecting a baby together!

The New Girl actress and Pechenik first stepped out together as a couple in August 2014 after she ended a two year relationship with screenwriter Jamie Linden. They also made their first red carpet debut at the 2014 Emmys, where they posed together as a couple at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Her fiancé Jacob Pechenik is a producer best known for his work on Before Midnight and The Skeleton Twins in 2013 and 2014, respectively. They are now working on their new film Rock the Kasbah, which also stars Bruce Willis, Taylor Kinney and Bill Murray.

Last week, the She & Him singer Zooey Deschanel confirmed that she is expecting her first child with her fiancé Jacob Pechenik. “Jacob and I are over the moon.” Zooey told people. “We are so excited to meet our little one!” Zooey Deschanel is due to give birth to the little one this summer.
